A very active ant that is fun to watch and observe.
Scouts will forage individually and return to the nest when a food source is located. The colony will then form large trails to retrieve the food.
Once of the most encountered ants in Australia, this particular species can form very large colonies with many queens and is often found in urban areas.
Unable to sting and not large enough to bite this ant is great for beginners.
Includes an egg laying queen and approx. 2 - 10 workers.
